Luxe Bar has one of the prime spots in Westfield Bondi Junction: they are the ones you see before and after catching a movie and thus tempt you with a bottle of this or a plate of that, each and every time. Hearing great stories about their famous burgers, I thought it was time for me to go gourmet and order what sounded like the most delicious (and upperclass) burger that they had: the Truffle Burger.

Walking down Bondi Road in Sydney, is the same as taking a round-the-world trip: you will find Turkish and Thai, Indian and Israeli, Chinese, a chicken shop and the list goes on. Today I decided to visit Brazil.
Charcoal Charlie’s. I think I’ve been coming back to this place for something like a decade and the only thing to have changed is the brand new addition of a coffee machine.
When I walked in today I received a very warm welcome that, dare I say, is quite unusual for a chicken shop. It wasn’t a ‘hello’ or a ‘what can I get for you’, it a sunny smile that made me feel like a worthy customer, not someone who was interrupting the proceedings of the day.
